I love computers and I want to start a repair business to make some money. I don’t know how, but am willing to learn how to repair computers. I looked online and it seems that people just use third party software to get the job done. Why would u pay for something any idiot can do? Theres gotta be more to it. Where online can i find the missing pieces to starting from being a noob to my own business. Looking to start this thing next year. Thanks for the advice.

ntldr missing what should i do? Computer shuts down halfway through repair?

I tried to restore my computer with a repair disk for xp but halfway through the repair the computer shuts down every time. I had to do a repair since the other day when I restarted it said checking drive clusters and shut down halfway through. After that the computer restarted and the computer would go the xp logo and then shut off after flashing a blue screen. Now the computer when I start it says NTLDR is missing press control alt delete to restart. Is the hard drive failing? I only have the hp repair disk no windows xp disk. Computer is HP Pavilion 4540US. Don’t know what to do? Should I buy a new hard drive. I tried installing linux (Unbuntu 7.04) to see if that would work but it restarts when trying to install to hard drive. Thanks for your help.
