Is the hard drive version of the Acer Aspire One faster than the solid state drive version?

I’m thinking of buying a netbook. I’m not sure whether to get a solid state drive or a regular hard drive. The hard drive holds more than the solid state drive version but i heard the solid state version is faster. I don’t mind the low space because I have an external hard drive. Any opinions?
